Rik Verweij

Rik (1966) has a Bachelor of Science in International Livestock Production specializing in poultry production. Throughout his career Rik has worked with most species of livestock / production animals as production manager around the world.

He has lived and worked abroad for over 20 years as senior animal production manager at well-known poultry production integrations. Since 2005 Rik his has been active in the export of Hatching Eggs and Day-old Chicks using his acquired knowledge and experience in poultry production. Trading Hatching Eggs and Day-old Chicks in association with several business partners led to the establishment of Ovumex in 2016.

Rik has a hands-on management approach and is an international specialist in poultry production. He has vast experience and knowledge about the entire poultry production chain from ‘feed-to-meat’ with a proven track record as management consultant around the world. At Ovumex Rik personally supports customers to ensure maximum results from the Ovumex Hatching Eggs and Day-old Chicks. For production related questions Rik is remotely available by phone, e-mail, Teams and on request can personally visit your production facilities.

Paul Albers

Paul (1979) has a bachelor of Science in Marketing Management and brings over 20 years of experience in hospitality-, pharmaceutical- and medical devices industry. Paul’s worked in multiple sales- and marketing roles in a highly international environment.

Paul spend most of his time at a worldwide market leader and manufacturer of medical devices, with world-class processes directly impacting customer satisfaction. With this experience he understands the need for maximum service levels on premium quality, supply security and individual attention. These many years Paul’s exposed to people from many different backgrounds and cultures worldwide, which he understands and easily connects with.

Paul is pragmatic, results driven, open and relationship-oriented. At Ovumex Paul is responsible for the organization and reliability of our business processes. In addition he drives new business and commercial activities and takes co-ownership of the relations with our suppliers. Ryan Verweij

Ryan (2000) has since long had an interest in business resulting in studying business economics. Being Rik´s son helped him gain extra insight in running a business and specifically in the poultry industry and importing/exporting business.

Being an easy communicator and a native speaker of both English and Dutch, Ryan is good connecting with customers worldwide. Being young and relatively new to business, he is constantly looking to grow and improve. Ryan is mainly responsible for shipment and export documents supporting the sales of Hatching Eggs and day old chicks. Besides that he is also involved in various other activities within the company.
